About North Florida Council, BSA
The North Florida Council serves young people within 17 counties of northeast Florida: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, St. John’s, Suwannee, and Union.
Children today face many challenges, and the Scouting & Exploring programs help them overcome obstacles and set them on a path to be prepared for life. By instilling timeless values and life-skills, and offering innovative career preparation, Scouting is preparing young people to make important contributions to their community. Scouts stay in school, advance in grade level, stay crime fee, and provide over 52,000 hours of community service.
Through adult volunteers and hundreds of partners in the community, Scouting and Exploring Programs are making a difference in the lives of over 7,000 young people in North Florida to receive year-round character education, enrichment, and outdoor adventure to help them become the leaders of tomorrow.
